Hello. I wasn't originally going to create this blog, but I felt inclined to. I'm looking for information on a piece of lost media and maybe this blog will help me chronicle any findings.
A bit about myself first. My name is Martin Ranoni, age 44. I am a receptionist at a physical therapy office. My passions lie in obscure and lost media. One of my most obsessive yet empty handed findings has been for any information about a TV program possibly called "Television Carnival".
My grandfather told me a story about a demonstration he had seen as a child. This would've taken place around the Summer of 1938. Not that many people were there. The television program shown was only described as strange abstract visuals and occasional sounds. While the others seemed unimpressed, It fascinated him to point where it's all he talked about afterward. My great-grandma even shouted after hearing my grandpa talk about it for several hours, "Will you quit it with this damn television show?!". He swore up and down it was called "Television Carnival" or "Television Circus". The lady doing the demonstration called it "A Delightful Program". He remembers the lady was named Preston and that she had a distinct voice and black hair.
My grandfather passed away in 2015 of lung cancer. He never found any evidence of this show's existence besides his memory, but he believed it wasn't a false memory. I'm not entirely sure if it is real, but I'd like to know once and for all.
If anyone has any information at all about this mysterious lost television show, please let me know! You can email me at m.preston.archive@gmail.com. Thank you for taking the time to visit my little blog here. I will keep everyone updated with any new information I find.
