New year means new discoveries! ...Right? (Please say yes...). I also want to take a moment to thank everyone who asked about my wife. She's doing much better now. She's touched about the amount of support, as am I. So thank you again for that.
I am filled with dread this year, as I think many of us are. However, there is a spark of excitement to be had (at least in our search anyway...). I received this email from a reader who'd prefer to remain anonymous that they believed maybe an ad for the Television Carnival demonstration.
So I have many questions... as I'm sure you do too. My grandfather swore up and down it was Piser & Co. the demonstration was at, but this states Alexander's. It is still entirely possible that he misremembered though (he did that a lot). Another detail that sticks out to me is how strange the wording is, but that lines up with my great-grandma saying she thought the host was off-putting and weird. My source claims this newspaper ad is from 1938, which does fit our timeline. I am unsure if this is for Television Carnival, but I don't think that many television demonstrations were going on around this time.
This gives me hope. So much hope. This may be a huge lead in our search, but there's still more work today. Thank you to the anonymous reader to sent this in!
